Not easy being GAY, Not easy being ACCEPTED, But there is SUPPORT

It is not easy being a gay. But it can be harder being a gay youth. It may be harder being a gay youth; if you are in school you may not be accepted by your peers as much as if you are older. To me being a gay youth is hard because you do get made fun of just about everyday. People question your gender and may make fun if you for it. Letting people like this tell you what you should and shouldn't do is not right. As a gay and straight community we have to work together and stand up for each other.

Not easy being gay. Sometimes you wish that you could just somehow be straight so that you can be "NORMAL" so people would leave you alone. Things do get better when you are done high school; people don't really care as much if you are gay, straight or a bi¬sexual. You don't have to worry as much about bulling or getting harassed as much.

Not easy being accepted. It is not always easy being accepted when you are gay. There always going to be people that are not going to like you when you are gay. But everyone is equal. It doesn't matter if you are white, black, or any color in between, if you are straight, gay, or bi-sexual, everyone is the same. No one should be treated differently because of who they are.

But there is support. No matter how hard it gets there is support out there for gay youth. In some schools there are gay-straight alliances (GSA). There is a counsellors that deal with lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, Trans, questioning (LGBTQ) youth. There is support and people out there who care you may just have to look a little harder then people who are straight.

Even though it might not always be easy being gay, there are people who care and are willing to stand up for what is right and make a change in the way we live so that we can try to live together.
