My Life, My Future

As anyone in life we all want to have a Mr. or Miss Perfect. My essay that I am about to explain to you is all based on the same idea. My pictures that you see are all based on what I want and where I want to be. Also the point of this essay is that LGBT people are no different than straight people.

My essay will begin in Ontario’s Capital, Toronto. Now, who does not like Toronto? For me it’s the shopping, food, and scenery. For others its Canada’s Wonderland or other attractions, or the Beaches and lakeside parks. But Toronto is more important to me than ever before. My life longs to be down in Toronto because one special Mr. Perfect is from there. My boyfriend, Ryan is from Toronto. Currently he lives in Kitchener–Waterloo rather close to me. The truth is that I always want to be with him wherever I am, at any time of the day. One of the best ways for me to get down to him when he goes back, if he goes back, is to take the good, reliable Greyhound Buses. Those depart from the Downtown GRT Charles St. Terminal and leave hourly. They’re not too expensive to travel on and there buses are very comfortable. Although we don’t always have money I usually like to try to find a ride but as the parking lot shows, usually no one will ever drive me.

Ryan and I are close now and having a good relationship. But when he is far away it almost seems that no one wants to help out with keeping our relationship together. One time I tried to hitchhike the way, and I almost got a car. He said "Where are you going" I said "I have to get to Toronto to see my boyfriend" the man looked at me and said "you're gay, sorry dude I am not going to take you. I am straight!."

After hearing that, I was shocked. Sure we have different preferences but we are still all human and all of us whether we are straight or LGBT still want that Mr./Mrs. Perfect. Please don’t look at LGBT as different! The only thing that makes us different is the way you look at us and how you think about us. You can change the way that you see LGBT people. With acceptance and understanding you will soon come to find that we are just like you!
